I guess I've hit the age where I had to transition to progressive lenses.

Just picked them up. Definitely an improvement for reading, but holy cow this is going to take some getting used to...

I read that the jamming is common when the use of a suppressor is involved.
This is correct, but he also cycled it this way on purpose. Too many "experts" in the media and social media are trying to claim he's an amateur due to the jamming. It had nothing to do with jamming and everything to do with him manually cycling on purpose to leave the shells with messages on them exactly where they could be found.

I had lasik at 42 years of age, just hit 49.  My vision flucuates daily, but I'm looking to get some cheaters and glasses for night driving soon.

I can still read, just have to put the object at the right distance.

Yeah, it won't be too long before I go for LASIK. I'm 46 now and think it's about time to start looking into it.

I've upped my HSA contributions per pay period because I'd rather pay for it with a tax-advantaged account than out of pocket, though, so I'm working to build that up so I'll be able to pay it all out of HSA without draining that account.

I looked into that a couple times. But they told me that it was best to do in your 20s to get maximum value, and heading into the mid 30s and 40s, it had less upside.

My vision was super bad, very near-sighted.  My contacts were -8 and -8.5 (whatever that means).  I just know it means I was really nearsighted.  I had good results, 8 years of not needing glasses first thing in the morning has been life changing.  Even when I do eventually have to start wearing glasses again, there is a huge difference in wearing thin, can still kinda see without them glasses, to Velma from Scooby Doo where you can't even see 2 feet in front of you without them.

I haven't heard that. I think all they really want is that your vision is stable. Which is one reason that you don't want to do it in your late 30s / early 40s, because that tends to be the age at which most people experience more significant vision changes.

That said, as @Gigem points out it doesn't mean that you'll avoid needing reading glasses... It'll correct distance but you still need the magnification close up.

Which I gotta say with these progressives... I can see this computer screen SO much better. As long as I look through the right part of the lens :57:

And shoot, for much of his tenure, Harbs was kind of a failure, and only by an act of administrative mercy and impossibly rare Coach decision-making did he get a chance to turn it.
Aside from that disastrous COVID season Jeem was pretty good for around 10 wins a year but he had one huge problem. 0-5 vs Ohio State. Which at Michigan, is a failure. So I guess you’re right.

Jeem turned it around imo by finally getting a real life legit QB and upgrading the RB position massively. JJ was a 5* QB who panned out and went top 10 of an NFL draft. Every other QB he had was mid to terrible. And also the RB talent got significant upgrades. No offense to De’Veon Smith & Karan Higdon but they weren’t Haskins, Corum, Edwards, or even Mullings.

I avoided Lasik for a long time because contacts just seemed easy and i was nervous for someone to touch my eyes and go blind. Then after brain surgery, my incision sites on both sides of my head were were glasses frames rested and was very painful to wear glasses and my eyes started rejecting contacts after 30 years of wearing them.. I kick myself for not doing Lasik sooner. Every once in a while since Lasik i have a little issue seeing right after sunset, but the rest of the day is incredible. Worth every penny.

I had evaluations for lasik earlier in life as well, in my 20's.  You have to remember, that back around the early 2000's when lasik was new, it was constantly evolving.  Heck, it's still evolving.  When I first went in, around 2003ish, they told me I could get it done but I was not a good candidate for it.  In other words, my chances of being 20/20 were not very good.  I had a couple other evaluations done over the next few years, all to the same result.

Fast forward to 2017.  The machines and techniques they use were so much more advanced that I was now told that I am an excellent candidate for results, well within their envelope.  I went to multiple Dr's and got the same results.  I had the surgery ($5,000 for a highly recommended Dr) and I have been very happy with the results.

Still think it’ll be Corum once he gets his shot, but you may be right. Mullings is a hell of a between the tackles chain mover who runs with bad intentions and has some real juice/burst to him for a 6’2, 235 pound man.

Edwards is the most physically gifted and talented of the lot but yeah he’s just an enigma. Wouldn’t be shocked if he gets with the right coach like Sean Payton for instance and winds up being a stud in the Sunday league.
