Here in AZ, my ID doesn't expire until I'm 65, so I don't see why I should replace it when I move.
Because it is required by law and it is super easy to do.

I'd bash anyone for the kind of money they got for doing that interview (I assume).  Even you.
Supposedly they did not receive anything for the interview.

I applied for a home loan in 1981, the quoted interested rate was 17.5% 30 year fixed.

I passed.  Another bank bailed out the owner of the new condos and gave me a 3 year ARM at 12.5%.  I took it.  Got a sweet deal on the unit too, 80% of original listing cost.

This would hammer real estate values in time and make imports expensive and raw materials expensive.

I got a 13.5% fix rate in 1983 only because there was a special bond issue for funds in Ohio for first time home buyers.

I got the 1st time homebuyer's in 89.  I think it was under 10%, but don't remember.

For some reason, I'm not big on victimless laws that aren't enforced.  But I'm weird like that.

apparently, I need to update my DL that is valid until 2023 because it's not TSA approved to get on a flight.

I might not fly anywhere until 23.

I've flown, been pulled over, and voted with my DL with an old address on it.  Thus, no motive to update it.

Living poor for a while does sharpen your empathy and your financial discipline.
Lived poor for a long long time. I am well off now, my wife has accused me of changing in the last 5 years and become cavalier with money.  Probably true, I have become use to doing what I want when I want and not worrying about the cost.  Use to be I tracked every penny, seriously to the penny and every bit of money coming in was allocated to a category.

All that said, I can say that can be quite empathic to those less fortunate than me. I believe (and practice) strongly in personal charity, while opposing governmental forced "charity"

If you need someone to tell you, it won't be a fruitful discussion.

Neither am I. I don't even think there should be driver's license :)
