That’s exactly why I responded that way.

Being in banking- I see those funds being used properly and for the good of small businesses and their employees and communities, but I also see much abuse and waste.

I know which one fits your situation.  😊
So I shouldn't apply for a million bucks with my 1-man operation?

I passed 70,000 words on Book 3 and decided to end it there, so there will be a Book 4.

Now I need to proof read which I hate.

If so, do you you a service like CreateSpace?

Have you made your books available for sale online?

Do you hire your own editor?

Have you ever queried literary agents?

Unless you want to commit fraud, I'd say no.

Yes, though Amazon/Kindle.
No editor, but me.
I have queried literary agents, I get the same canned response each time.  I also sent two books off to Pegasus, no response yet.

I'm going back through Book 2 now, I like it myself, still finding errors. It's historical fiction in Book One, civil war.  Book 3 is written but not checked.

I'm going to epublish soon and get the paperback as well, on Amazon.  The first book is out, I had a bad typo on the back cover unfortunately.

pot stirrer

I'm not sure that "Texas reopening" is any major news.  It's been open since mid May.

The only real difference is the removal of the statewide mask mandate.  Businesses including retailers may continue to require masks of their employees and customers as they see fit, according to their own set of safety protocols.

Since bars and restaurants are already open, and nobody's wearing a mask after they sit down, I don't anticipate any change in outcomes there.

The only real potential change in outcomes I can see is maybe at grocery stores and other retailers.  I anticipate many of them will remove their own mask requirements for customers, so that they don't put their employees in confrontational situations with customers who don't want to wear masks, and no longer feel compelled to without a state mandate in place. I don't know how large a % of people that will be, but I don't think it's really going to be enough to move the needle strongly.

tl;dr version-- Much ado about nothing, Texas is already open so can't "reopen" at this time, that happened in May.

I'm just sick of all the BS with this thing. The Science has mostly been full of shit.

All the GOP Guvs are stupid, naturally.

All the CCP Guvs are brilliant, especially The Luv Guv, and they are all begging for Federal bailouts.

Yeah, I wondered what really changed in Texas.  The news really latched on to it as a thing.

They do that, often.

Sheesh.

"The Science" has only ever said that this was a novel virus for humans and that it would be a good idea to be cautious.  Anything more than that is someone running with it and bastardizing it.

2,500,000 people didn't just die this past year from nothing.
