What Cabinet-level office(s) would you get rid of, if you could?

I'd start with the DO Education.

The Department of Energy is largely a waste, the few things they do could be in another department.  We could go back to "HEW" in the olden times.

I'd have a Department of Beaurocracy that would serve to make recommendations to consider having a series of meetings at some future time to study, consider, and report on the impacts of government beaurocracy on various aspects of society to some government beaurocracy.

I agree, we just need to divert enough resources out of infrastructure maintenance to pay for the tape.  Not sure if the color matters, but I prefer red

Cordray was an abject failure from multiple standpoints.    Parents, students, lenders, courts, colleges and universities all fit to be tied over his incompetence.

I had to cease being on the College Foundation Board when we moved down here, but back in 2020 FAFSA was working just fine. This hack just simply f'd it up to no end. And yet his boss celebrates his accomplishments on the way out.

He should be canned too, along with his whole department.

Ugh, I feel for you.  I have multiple friends with just one HS senior this year, and their descriptions of the situation are painful enough to hear.  Can't imagine dealing with it 2x.
