Hawaii's Kilauea volcano is one of the world's longest erupting volcanos. It has been erupting since January 3, 1983. The word "Kilauea" means "much spreading" or "spewing" in Hawaiian.
lot of "Kilauea" on this board
Suburbia:Where they tear out the trees & then name streets after them.

Twitter won't bury this one.

Scientist who worked at Wuhan lab says COVID man-made virus (nypost.com)
A scientist who worked at a controversial research lab in China has claimed that COVID was a man-made virus that leaked from the facility, according to a report.
Andrew Huff, who worked for a New York-based nonprofit that studied viruses, said COVID leaked from the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China two-plus years ago and blamed authorities for the “biggest US intelligence failure since 9/11,” Britain’s the Sun reported Saturday.
The lab has been at the center of fierce debates about the origins of COVID, with both Chinese government officials and lab personnel denying that the virus leaked from the facility.
Huff, an epidemiologist, said in his new book, “The Truth About Wuhan,” that the pandemic was the result of the US government’s funding of coronaviruses in China

Huff, who worked at EcoHealth Alliance from 2014 to 2016, said the nonprofit helped the Wuhan lab put together the “best existing methods to engineer bat coronaviruses to attack other species” for many years.

Did this Huff fellow work at that lab himself?

well he worked at EcoHealth Alliance....same entity that applied for a grant to DARPA in 2018 in which they literally laid out how to build COVID. DARPA denied their grant saying it was too risky and there was no real benefit to any of the research. We know this thankfully because of a leak by someone who worked at DARPA. They would've been working on this research before ever applying for a grant from DARPA and just because they got turned down by DARPA doesn't mean they would've ended said research either.

It was obvious as hell pretty fairly soon that the official narrative was bs and lots of things weren't adding up.

When the article claims he worked at Wuhan, and it seems he never did, I look for some other report on his book.  Maybe he's right, maybe he's selling books, the articles lose cred with me.

The city is fine for some, not for others, like every place it has some pros and cons.  The airline magazines used to have pages for "Top Ten Cosmetic Surgeons in the US" that were pure ads, nothing else, or best steak houses, at least there you knew someone paid to get on the list.

Anything like "Best Restaurant" or "Best Wine" is someone's opinion.  Most outstanding college football player ... collective opinion.  Best team ...

My kid in Austin is moving to Columbus shortly.  Not real clear why, job related I think.
