I think any President touring a disaster area is a PR stunt with negative consequences.  I know it's expected today, but he can get a good briefing without visiting and causing the usual ruckus of such a visit, and of course it doesn't mean he's going to DO anything differently anyway.
Well, he thanked the Governor for having him, and then proceeded to talk about wildfires and water shortages out West. Then he took the opportunity to pounce on climate change.

Ugh.

Still it's interesting timing with respect to midterm elections and the story that Biden was trying to craft on behalf of the Democrats.

The Saudis must REALLY hate themselves some Biden.
the guy is a clown- no leader on the world stage respects him. he's an embarrassment to the United States of America.

A 10% increase in fuel means a 10% increase in everything.

Trucks, ships, planes and trains don't get to Costco on solar power.
yup. so much for curbing inflation....

Boy, the echo chamber is going strong, I see.

“I'm not trying to make a political post that bothers anyone or anything....this absolutely not about party vs party, as I initially suggested his party nominate someone else (anyone else), but I have to ask:

as Herschel Walker goes down a laundry list of ways to screw up, prove to be out of his depth, and reach unprecedented levels of hypocrisy, how is he still in a tight race?!????

What are these people voting on?  If a candidate can literally be the opposite of everything you want him to be, is there any point where they don't vote for him?!?  I see no valid reasoning here.  What am I missing??”

you do see the irony dont you?

I'm critical of an individual candidate, not a party.  I was critical of him before he won his nomination.

As for the people voting for him.......they're actively making sure their wants and needs are poorly represented.  And that's on them.

I suspect the timing has more to do with falling oil prices than a US election.

Most folks won't really notice a 10% increase in gasoline prices enough to alter their vote.
Perhaps you my friend have plenty of $$$ but speak for yourself

It takes a lot to alter votes for most folks, they have "their team" and will vote that way no matter what.

Some really BIG news can change votes with them, or depress them so they don't vote.  Many of "us" vote simply for the perceived LOTE.

Take Walker, for example, let's stipulate for the moment he's unqualified to be Senator.  He's still a reliable Republican vote.  If you want a Republican Senate, you vote for him, simple as that, no matter what else might be afoot.  (We could of course stipulate Warnock is unqualified also and reverse this, same thing.)

Just as we're OSU ot Wisconsin or Michigan fans, MOST voters are D or R fans.  It keeps life simpler.
