I really wish the SEC had stayed with CBS.  I liked having the games on that channel versus the Disney empire.

Big Ten close to a deal with CBS and NBC- leaving ESPN out?

So speculation is this will lead to Big Ten tripleheaders

Big Fox - noon ET
CBS - 3:30 ET
NBC - 7:30 ET

NBC would probably re-sign Notre Dame and have Notre Dame games at 2:30 ET

I am guessing no ESPN/ABC means maybe 1 game on FS1 and the rest on BTN?

As a Big Ten fan and cord-cutter I like this plan.  More games on local channels.  Get a subscription to Fox/BTN during football season.  That's about all I need until bowl sesson.

My Hulu covers all of those bases so I don't care.

Makes me wonder, what are they going to do for a big game in LA, like say Ohio State @ USC?  This is clearly the kind of game that Fox likes to put in their "Big Noon" slot, so would they force a 9 AM local kickoff?

Highly doubtful that would be allowed. I'm certain Fox will be told "no" on any B1G Noon games for the Cali schools.

I just signed up for two baseball fantasy camps.  Jan 10-15 and 17-22.  I am a crazy old guy.

My concern with the TV contracts is that they're going to start putting games on streaming services.  So you'll have to get Peacock, Apple TV and Prime Video to watch all of the games.  It's very likely that NBC will put at least a few games on Peacock, since they got rid of NBC Sports Network.

When UGA played Charleson Southern, I wanted to watch and it wasn't on anything, so I went down to a local sports bar.  They had UM-OSU on as well, and I was able to watch 4-5 games at the same time, which was cool.  They had a pretty good beer on special for $4.50 each and I had two, and then I ordered some wings for about $5, so with tip I was out under $20 and actually had a pretty good time.

If they go to much streaming crap, I'll just do that.

Hulu covers all the bases at $69/month.

doesn't surprise me that the rat pulled out of negotiations. ESPN is a sinking, dying ship. The rat isn't one to throw money down the drain like the others.

Not sure. Peacock has been a massive failure for NBC. They've already tried strong arming people into getting it, and it hasn't worked. Live sports are like the one thing people actually still watch on tv. I don't think they'd be dumb enough to kill the last live tv cash cow they have.
