Free speech has limits, in my view, and in the law. I would not allow Jones on any platform I controlled, at all, nor anyone else so vile and dangerous.
This is why I think Musk controlled TWTR is going to end up looking slightly different, not massively different.
Yeah, we've been over this a bunch. No need to rehash it. Restriction of free speech has
extremely narrow limits in terms of the law in the United States. It is
nearly absolute.
Obviously things which break the law; direct threats of violence, death threats, incitement of violence, fraud, defamation, libel, slander, child you know- that's all
against the law. Everything else is pretty much fair game.
I barely know of Alex Jones- and I've only seen him a few times laughing my ass off watching him talk like a crazy person about the government engineering tornadoes and hurricanes, the government turning frogs gay, and Sandy Hook being a false flag. None of that is illegal. He's allowed to be batshit crazy asshole. And dude is clearly
batshit crazy. Only a complete moron would take any of that stuff he says seriously. And the thing about morons- you can't legislate them out of being a moron. A moron is gonna moron and believe batshit crazy things. There's no cure for stupid.
We have no idea yet what Twitter is going to look like. Musk has yet to close the deal. My hunch is that it's going to look quite different and that Musk is serious about free speech. Musk isn't buying Twitter for the money. He's never going to make money on it. It's a dogshit loser of a company. Maybe he just agrees with dude below heavily...
