Anyone concerned about a potential World War?

If Russia takes Ukraine, and China follows with Taiwan, then what?

Red line in the sand? War? What?

Some will say he's got some issues in Ukraine that limit his options. But he's also tied to NATO, which has vowed to intervene. This is a dangerous situation.

Ukraine was a country of its own before Stalin took it. Lots of moving part there, throughout history. Putin appears to want to put the USSR band back together.

Then there is Taiwan. Lots of chips and other things are made
there, for the USA. Some will say he's got some issues in China that limit his options, but the US has vowed to side with Taiwan.

Stalin was a long time ago.  and we didn't go to war with Stalin, back when we had the balls to go to war

not sure if we go to war over chips, especially vs a formidable giant like China.  It's not oil.

The US has not won a war since 1945, and we don't even win that one without Stalin's Eastern front to spread the Nazis out.

another solid reason Biden will do nothing but some sanctions

Hell, I don't think Trump would have gone to war over any of this

a war in Iran, Iraq, or Afghanistan is MUCH different than superpowers China and Russia

Russia and China know this

He wouldn't have to. It probably would not be happening. Just a hunch.

Trump nearly got the US into a full-blown shooting war with Iran in January 2020, when he ordered the top general in Iran killed. The only reason it didn't start is that the Iranians took favorable international opinion and promptly shot down a neutral commercial airliner leaving Tehran.

It shows how crazy 2020 turned out to be that everyone has completely forgotten about this.

The reason the likelihood of WW3 starting in the Taiwan Strait or Korean DMZ is much higher because the US is tied much tighter by treaty to Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan than they are to the Ukraine. I think business like this is why NATO has been very slow to consider their admission into the bloc at any level, unlike the Baltic states, which were promptly admitted at independence.

That general needed to be taken out.

I don't care who ordered it. Could've been any of the last 4 presidents, or Mickey Mouse, and I'd still support that move.
