I once was using up leftovers to make a kind of stew, I had some chunks of steak, leftover spaghetti sauce, and corn.  I mixed it all up with some more diced tomatoes and a bit of chili powder.  I really liked what the corn brought to it.
Well so much for the image I had of you being a connoisseur of the culinary arts. Now what you describe above is I'm sure something I've whipped up before, many times.Hope you ate it proper - over the sink!!!.Now excuse me I have to get back to removing the 14.6"s we had yesterday.Lying bastages said 3"-5"

I like dining out, and I enjoy good food, but I also "clean out the fridge" and make something and on occasion it's pretty decent.

We went to our favorite French place last night, had something called "Kokeel Saint Jack", I may have misspelled that, and a nice Chablis (it is half priced wine night).

I think celery is a nice i0gredient for various stew type foods.

It was 28°F when I got up, it's now very sunny outside, some wind, we'll go for a walk somewhere, maybe up to the botanical garden, we like it when it's empty.

Ain't no beans, either.

Obviously.

And it's "stew" when I take dribs and drabs of leftovers and combine them, augmenting with celery or onion esp. and garlic and whatever else.
