My high school (where I played football once upon a time) finally won the Div 1 (largest class) Wis. State title last night, which is cool.   The really interesting thing is that they run the Wing-T offense (avg. over 300yds p/g).  They passed the ball 3 times, one of which was an INT.  No wonder they are ranked #120 nationally in MaxPreps. :).    They upset the Kimberly Papermakers which had won 5 straight state titles.

As a power run aficionado, I had to take a look at this and found the longform highlights. Notable they didn't just go up and sit on the ball. Lots of trading scores, certainly worth the price of admission.
Also, looks like that offense got some big runs off good WR blocks and bad safety play. Always important and underrated

Another brisk morning here on the East River Flats. Snowed for a hot second last night, but none of it stuck. Stiff pours of hot cider and Fireball.

RIP Marcel.

I'm not a fireball man, but this morning on the flats I could be tempted!

ENJOY!!!

That was such horrid, horrid defense that it makes me sad. The Buckeyes continue to look like they don't understand how defense works

Perfectly defended, except one player. But his job, which was easy, was the most important one.

Arnette is simply supposed to step up field, sealing the edge and spilling the RB back into the traffic.

Maryland player should’ve threw it away or fallen down to live another day. Instead he drops the ball trying to make a play and OSU gets it back.

Yes, it's the most basic part of defense, and they continue to look like they don't understand it

Grrr, Lombardi missed a wide open TE for a TD.  It's not like he's some savior either.

Probably a good thing he couldn't get anything on that throw, or Nebraska had a pick six.
