Florida lost to Kentucky?  I had no idea until just now.

That's almost as bad as losing to Maryland.

Almost.

Don't worry.
I'm sure Texas will never schedule us, just like we'll never schedule Temple.

just watched the Mich-SMU highlights again. Even more pissed off at Sean McKeon for Patterson's INT than I initially was. 100% McKeon's fault. Had bitch heart on that play. Just stopped running. Didn't attack the football. HOW the hell did this kid leapfrog Ty Wheatley Jr? He sucks.
It's not exactly a nice way to put it, but I do agree that the INT was on McKeon. Standing still there is counter to all coaching he's received since high school. I do like his place on the roster, though. I mean, he is the reason Ian Bunting transfered. Because McKeon passed him. That says something about something. No doubt, though, Gentry has been the TE star so far.
I can't really think of an accurate comparison for ZG. The common TE comparisons around here are Butt or Travis Beckum. But ZG is very much his own breed. Could be productive like those two, though. Like Harbaugh said, he's becoming a complete player (blocking and catching). He doesn't have an obvious ceiling, either.

That INT was 100% on McKeon. He just stopped running. He was suppose to come back to the ball. Instead he quit running and then just let the defender jump in front of the ball. If he comes back to the ball and uses his big body to box out the defender it's a TD or incomplete. Instead it was an INT. 100% on him. McKeon is a below average athlete. Has pretty good hands but he doesn't run well at all. He's slow and can't create separation and he just makes a lot of dumb plays- like that one we're talking about. Not sure it says much him leaping over Bunting. Bunting didn't do much at Michigan in 3 years and he hasn't done anything at his new stop at Cal either.
As for Zach Gentry- he needs to beef up that upper body. He could be SO much more dominant. There was a TD catch he dropped against ND because his arms were ripped down by the defender. He's a couple plays like that this year actually. That almost never happens to Gronk. Why? His arms and upper body are built like a freaking tank. That's literally the only knock on Gentry that I see. He's got everything else. He gets open. He's fast for being such a big kid. He's athletic. And his arms are so long and his catch radius is so big. He can be as good as he wants to be. He's definitely way more talented than Jake Butt. Will he put in the work to become great like Jake Butt did? That remains to be seen.
