You guys are giving me flashbacks to my old pizza delivery days.

Pulling out of the parking light and up to that first stop light, when BAM!!! That pungent stench that makes you go "Oh %$&@, Anchovies!!!! Not again!" So then you'd have to pull off on the side of the road as soon as you could, so that you could relocate the pies from the passenger seat into the trunk, where they belong. Yet by then, it was already too late. Your car was going to stink for the rest of the night. If not the rest of the week.

Uncle Skeeter coming in for the game this morning

skinless brats in the oven for game snacks.  1/4lb brat on a bun and/or some brats chopped in bite size chunks with a multitude of dipping options.  Plenty of cheeses and there will be homemade kraut.

high of 88 today.  Good for post game golfing this afternoon.

New York strips for dinner tonight.

Kinda sad to see what's happened to USC and even more so to Texas. Of course, not all the schools can be top-15 programs and if a few have to fall so mine can ascend.. I'm good with that.

too bad some of the fallen won't come to Camp R for a game to try to climb back up the ladder

Not sure what I am cooking just yet, but I took a bunch of different sausages out of the ice chest yesterday, so a sausage sampler platter is going to start things off. Almost all the dockmates are here so we'll run through those.

Also out of the ice chest.. ground beef. Maybe I'll just do burgers.

Trying to empty the ice chest before we move.
Emergency board meeting to clear out Badge’s ice chest?
I’m kept in by weather at the moment. Might run an errand or two before kickoff.

Could do that. 7:30 PM next Saturday, in Kenosha.

I'm probably going to miss the first half of the noon games.  I remember when I would never tolerate such a calamity like that.   Funny what happens when you become an adult, and later a parent.

This is the first season my kids are playing sports in the Fall.  My 9yo son is doing flag football, and my 11yo daughter is way into soccer now and begged to let her play in the Fall as well as the Spring.

Those start up next week, so this is my last week of "freedom."

Not sure what my "kids" are doing today. At ages 27 and 30, I'm sure it's whatever they feel like doing. I'm good with that.

Oh yeah, I'll probably just catch the second half of the noon and first half of 3:30, then circle back for the late games.  I've found myself watching more NFL recently, simply due to how many activities we have on Saturdays

Dude,  the Huskers play at noon.
my daughters are grown now, but when they were young they knew the Huskers were top priority on Gameday

Sitkowski throws the ball directly to a Kansas guy who drops an easy pick six.  Then on the next play he throws it directly to Kansas for a pick six.
