Perpetuating fads aids in the perceived need for ongoing quarterly growth for businesses.

My apartment in grad school was "lime green", with green shag carpet.  Thinking back, it was pretty hideous, but it was pretty cheap, and had a bedroom and small kitchen.

Of the issues I had at the time, that was low on any list.  I recall I had a 13" color TV with a rotary dial that was kind of high end for the time.  It was $135 a month.

My wife sent me an article before we redid our kitchen in Cincy about stainless being "out".  I ignored it, stainless is still pretty much the thing, I think.

Lime green certainly had its day.  We moved into our house in 1988 and the first thing my parents did was gut the lime green kitchen with plaid carpeting

There also was that off gold color at the time.  If you go back further, most kitchen appliances were just white.  Washers and dryers were white.  You could have any color you wanted so long as it was white.  Back further, there were hardly any dryers of course.

We replaced a perfectly good stove here with an induction stove, which we both love.  The old stove went to one of the workers' mom's place which he was redoing.

My old apartment complex had a washer/dryer room down the bill a bit, that was a pain.  I recall using Bold laundry detergent because it got rid of static.

I think every favorite in the ranked top 25 won yesterday.  I'm a bit sorry Vandy will drop out.

I am too, but not sad about the win. :)

what's that got to do with anything?
he wasn't knocked out cold, so it wasn't a hit to the facemask?
It wasn't a hit to the facemask just because you repeat it.Look up from a putt and type in youtube

I think about 50 different players have a "first round grade" in October every year.
Generally not the players you want to lose

I don't  get too excited about uniform styles or changes.  I don't worry personally much about what I wear either beyond comfort, I usually pick whatever is on top.

Sometimes my wife sends me back.
Sounds like I'd never be allowed to leave

My wife is pretty flexible unless we're going to some event or meeting.  Then she wants me to look ... "nice".  We're in an advisory council for example and she thinks I should dress up some.  OK then.  I generally dress up some if we head to a nicer restaurant.

seems like the refs in Ryan Day's pocket agreed that it was a hit to the facemask

i thought that was weird that the booth did not stop and correct
i just hate the apologies afterward as it means nothing

they will still screw games up with lack of testicles to do the right thing

This is precisely why I'm delighted the Texas student section pitched a fit last week and forced the idiot officials to correct their horrible call.  Because otherwise it's just a useless apology afterward.

That reversal to the correct call, enabled the Longhorns to score a well-earned TD and make it a 1-score game with an entire quarter left to play.  Ultimately Georgia scored again to ice the game, but if that horribly incorrect call had been allowed to stand, the game's immediately over and it might have ended up a bloodbath instead of a tough but recoverable loss.

There should be consequences for egregiously bad calls.  There should be a lot of things in life that aren't.

People should be smarter.
