I found it interesting the base camp commander of Camp Lejeune, North Carolina which is on the coast between Wilmington, NC and Moorehead City, NC decided to not evacuate troops. He may be right that the buildings are sturdy enough. I suppose if a big old live oak falls on a residence then he may be wrong. He ought to have the flood maps, and be able to rationally determine if people are in harms way. Interesting decision.
If he is wrong he would likely be court martialed, wouldn't he?
