Is this now a meme or doesn't this happen every year now?  At least 3rd time I recall this happening

That's good in B12 standards.
I watched Ohio State - Minnesota so I guess it's pretty much  the same by B1G standards.

I agree the Fox announcers are not very good.  Blackledge is very good, nobody else is close IMHO.

Did Illinois losing to UTSA slide under the radar.

Because, really, woof.

A lot of ranked teams lost yesterday, or Friday,  part of the reason being obvious.

I had consumed some Koolaid on LSU previously.  I thought the Clemson/UGA Os would score points other than a single FG.  I guess UGA was in position to add a FG at the end, but didn't need it.  I thought UNC was over rated.  I thought Bama would be Bama and demolish the Canes.  I think A&M is good but not great.

I also think "we", me included, tend to draw too much from Week One.  A team like Wisconsin lost, sure, but clearly were competitive with an apparently good PSU team.

Oklahoma is going to drop in the ratings, not that is matters yet.

I'd go with:

1.  Bama
2. tOSU
3.  UGA
4.  OU I guess
5.  A&M

Nobody else really played anyone.  Clemson should be maybe 10.  I notice that programs like Cincy have a nice year and often then fade from view.

ESPN all ready chirping the SEC should have the top 3 teams.

1) Alabama
2) Georgia
3) Oklahoma (And yes he called OU an SEC team)

and shockingly they have OSU at 4 until they can justify moving Texas A&M up.

The lack of offense shown is a ding on UGA, I'm sure they will score more on inferior teams of course.  And Clemson showed a lot of proficiency on D.

OU looked sketchy to me, but they could well start mowing teams down.

OU's offense hasn't been a problem, but their defense was supposed to be improved this year.  It's only one game, but right now, that doesn't appear to be the case.

BTW, New Balances are often a very dad shoe, especially the gray ones, especially with cargos.

Some of the styles can be pretty good, but still have a tinge of dad. But if they're supposed to be for running, that's fine because running shoes should be kinda ugly in a flashy way.

I love the New Balance discussion.

My current ones are blue, with red accents/lettering.  The previous ones were gray, with green accents/lettering.  I've never had a white pair, they'd get too dirty, you know, from all the running.:)

I did a 5-mile run this morning, already very hot and humid, I jumped in the pool to cool off.  But I think the shoes are starting to give out, they only seem to last 300-400 miles.
