They should kick NFL length Xtra points in the first two OTs
I would like to see the drop kick be brought back. What do you think about mandatory drop kicks for extra points?

After the 17th overtime, just flip a coin for the winner.

it's more entertaining than the NFL OT version, where ya end up tied
NFLs OT which gives the receiving team an advantage, is wrong.

4 hours after his Gatorade bath, Coach O is the losing coach.

Worse yet is the CFL version where it is the college model, but they call it a tie after 2 OTs unless it's the playoffs.

4th OT

good stuff

but not much SEC defense
I'll cut 'em some slack, this OT system is just brutal on defenses.  But being tied 31-31 at the end of regulation still isn't much of a "defensive slug-fest."
As has been pointed out several times, this is just the trend in college football.   The B12 might be leading the vanguard, but the averages for offensive statistics have been trending up for decades.  The NCAA and leagues obviously like this, because they continue to make offene-friendly rules.

Anyway, that was an unbelieavable finish to the LSU-TAMU game.  I had to wake my i s c & a aggie wife up a couple of times, she was almost as tired as the players. ;)

It is fun to see the Gophers win after all of the  flack that they and their coach have gotten from Badger fans.

Not they. Just their coach. One game doesn't change anything. He's still a self-promoting egotistical maniac, and a clown. You think Badger fans are hard on the idiot, go read the twin city newspapers and talk to some realistic Gopher fans. They don't buy his shit either.

cut them slack if y'all want
scoring TDs on 6 of 7 OT possessions says there's not much defense
get two stops out of 7 and you win

OT's are set up for offense. It's silly. Start them out at mid-field and let them prove it. The way this is now, you really don't even need to gain any yards to get 3 points. It's screwed up. The defenses have little chance to succeed.
