Someone suggested attending a game the closest non-FBS team to where you live. So I am going to try that, plus one Big Ten game, two regional games and a few high school games on the docket. The local G5 team also has a few weeknight games, 1-2 of them interesting.

Georgia State plays where the Braves used to play, I don't feel very motivated to attend a game, it has crossed my mind.  That was a commuter school not many years back with no athletics at all.  Kennesaw State is now one of the largest Us in the state of GA (second to Tech, surprisingly enough).

I'm going to try to get in some HS games this year. All depends on the wife.

I want to see the 4* Badger WR commit from Naples. He's also got a teammate that intrigues me. Chris Maragos is their coach at Neumann.

I'd have to drive a while to get to the closest FCS team.  There's probably some D2 or D3 nearby but honestly, high school football around here, is better than that.  And I see 10-15 high school football games per year.

There are no close-by football schools around here. Closest is USF and then FAU. I'd like for FGCU include football. That is really an up-and-coming school. Beautiful campus too.

Rutgers at Minnesota (parents weekend), and I might go see Minnesota at Cal...
Might catch Notre Dame at Stanford.

Been to a couple of Kent St games do they count?

Yes. They sure do. I count the few mid-major matchups I've gone to.

Bought my tickets to Arizona State Vs TCU last week. Coming off a playoff run, ASU jacked up ticket prices, driving us into the upper deck.

Flights to/from Columbus are confirmed for Oct 4 Vs Minnesota game.

Flights to/from Atlanta are confirmed for Oct 11 Auburn Vs Georgia.

The University of San Diego Toreros are my nearest FCS squad.

Looking at it, there are two D3 teams within 65 miles of you, no D2 or NAIA. One doesn’t seem worth much, the other had a little dynasty a few years back, but they changed coaches and took a step back.

We talking really good HS ball?

Yup, state champs have come out of our district 3 or 4 times in the past 12 years.  5A and 6A (6A is largest in Texas, currently).

Minnesotans have a strange obsession with JV college football, and I don't get it.

I think most non-Texas members of D2 and D3 are within an 8-hour drive of MSP.
