After Season 4. show him the door.

If he's  there for 5, skin the AD alive.

If he persists for 6, throw random fan into the mix.

If he hangs for 7, you are not in Heaven.

If he lasts til 8, you gotta be great.

Never got into after game coach speak be it damage control or gloating

Frost was just going over the film.

If you do watch it, you are going to want to skip the commercials.

can't say I'm shocked. Always huge risk taking a guy with no head experience in the P5 and little HC experience in small-ball and who was a glorified OC working for an X's & O's guru HC who also runs that side of the ball.

Oregon offense was the brain-child machine of Chip Kelly that basically ran itself. Frost was a head coach for only 2 years playing a bunch of tomato cans in the Sunbelt or AAC or whatever the hell garbage conference they were in.

I'm a little surprised by Frost's lack of success, but not shocked. I am shocked however that it's going on year 7 and Jim Harbaugh sucks.

I'm not shacked that Frost wasn't very successful, but I thought it would be better than this.  50% winning seems not that difficult

I figured he should put a credible disciplined team on the field.  If they went 7-6 and 8-5, I would not be shocked.  I just saw a lot of undis play Sat.

If you can't beat Illinoi with a backup QB, well, ....

Your Season 3 rhyme may have something to it. But, you might add: "If you want to know more, wait for Season 4."

I was skeptical about Kirk Ferentz when he arrived back in Iowa City. Most of us were looking forward to the U of Iowa hiring Bobby Stoops.

Ferentz started out 4-19.

But,

Year 3 - 7-5.
Year 4 - 11-2

It made me feel better about him.

Looking at the games they had 5 losses.
14-23 13 pts
28-31  3 pts
26-32  6 pts
28-34  4 pts
14-17  3 pts

Very competitive in every game, the difference between 10-12 wins less than a TD in all but one game.  I'd say that he was very much on track for a 10-11 win season even then.

Well if one score losses are a sign that things are pointed in the right direction, Frost is like 5-12 in one score games.

Close losses are better than blowouts obviously.  Some years a team can be "snakebit" with a combination of close losses, key injuries, bad bounces, etc., and still be a pretty decent team, or the foundation for a good team.

I don't see Nebraska being there yet of course.
