If you were coaching a team, who would you want at QB, RB (2), WR (2), and TE? Pick anyone from the history of college football.
Just for fun.
.
I'll take Tebow at QB.
Reggie Bush and Bo Jackson at RB.
Peter Warrick and Troy Edwards at WR.
Kyle Pitts at TE.
.
Tebow is obvious...not "right," just obvious. He also acts as the hammer for the offense, so I don't need a FB or Earl Campbell type for inside runs. Bo is plenty powerful enough and Bush was just amazing.
.
At WR, I was thinking a speed guy and a possession guy. For me, Edwards is my possession guy and an easy pick. Warrick might not be among the fastest ever, but his juking ability was sick and he could get open and make big plays. He's a guy who would have won a Heisman in an alternate universe.
.
This probably looks like a homer pick, but Pitts' 2020 season was all-time great. His numbers extrapolated out to a full season would've been 1,200 yds and 19 TDs at TE. No one could cover him. He had zero drops on the season. Yes, I'll take the TE who finished 10th in Heisman voting and was taken 4th overall in the draft.
