Woke up around 2 AM to answer nature's call, and then drifted fitfully in and out until about 5 at which point I was fully awake. Of course, the dog chose today to sleep in to 6:30, so I just laid in bed until he woke up. 

Took him for a little over a 3 mi walk, got home, had a couple cups of coffee, and watched Gameday.

Right now I'm watching the BMW Championship. Wife and I are leaving at 11 AM to drop off the kids with the grandparents and then going to a wine festival in Dana Point with my SIL. So holding off on football for now, even though Neb/Ill starts in 15 minutes.

I've got that and the Haw/UCLA game set to record, so I'll fire those up after we get home from wine. 

Since we're out today, no big cooks planned. Just some grilled pork tenderloin and roasted broccoli planned for dinner.

There are no Illinois Toll Roads in the city. Just the Chicago Skyway, which is privately run.

But yeah, patronage jobs from guys at the state level, for sure.
