Opening a season's scoring on a safety is the ultimate sparty thing to do.
IIRC the first two scores of the 2013 Rose Bowl season were defensive TDs

I know, OSU always gets dinged for letting teams hang around early. So it's fun to do the same thing to others.

Sparty only up two, halfway through the first quarter.
Great point!   😂

Jonathan Smith leaving Oregon State, his alma mater, has got to be pretty rare (after a successful season).  You could probably define the exact line between haves (liberally defining it) and have-nots based solely on programs that can keep a HC alum vs programs that can't.

It would be an interesting exercise to vote on that - those fringe programs.

FAU:  let's run a reverse draw, play-action to no one.  Ready?  Break!

He's not a QB (yet?).  An athlete who takes the snaps.

He has the Tebow arm slot issue.  Problem is he doesnt seem to understand his limitations throwing, and the playbook isnt designed for it

Well he is 18.   Has a strong arm. A lot of potential

I dont know how he got this far throwing the ball like that.  Same slot as Randle El and Tebow, but kind of like batting stances they used to be all over the place until we started teaching uniform motions because we realized how (at best) inefficient or (at worst) dangerous those odd mechanics were

Darius Snow still around.  4* legacy recruit who had multiple season ending injuries.  Has to be in his 6th year, and is a shell of who he was supposed to be.  Tried to retire, but was convinced to come back and that his scholarship would be honored, even if he could just be a special teams guy.  He also. does all of the social media edits

FAU just made this a game. 16-10.

These offenses are both offensive to watch.
