I find it fascinating that nearly all of the top-ranked teams are on the road.  Of the top-14 only two (#8 OU and #11 BYU) are playing in their home stadiums this weekend.

In the B1G:
  • 8-0/11-0 #1 Ohio State -9.5 at #15 Michigan Sat at noon on FOX
  • 8-0/11-0 #2 Indiana -28.5 at PU Fri at 730 on NBC
  • 7-1/10-1 #6 Oregon -6.5 at UDub Sat at 330 on CBS
  • 7-1/9-2 #15 Michigan +9.5 vs #1 tOSU Sat at noon on FOX
  • 6-2/8-3 #17 USC -21.5 vs UCLA Sat at 730 on NBC
  • 5-3/8-3 Washington +6.5 vs #6 Oregon Sat at 330 on CBS
  • 5-3/7-4 Iowa -6.5 at UNL Fri at noon on CBS
  • 4-4/7-4 Nebraska +6.5 vs IA Fri at noon on CBS
  • 4-4/7-4 Illinois -6.5 vs NU Sat at 730 on FOX
  • 4-4/6-5 Northwestern +6.5 at IL Sat at 730 on FOX
  • 4-4/6-5 Minnesota -1.5 vs UW Sat at 330 on FS1
  • 3-5/3-8 UCLA +21.5 at #17 USC Sat at 730 on NBC
  • 2-6/5-6 Penn State -13.5 at RU Sat at 330 on BTN
  • 2-6/5-6 Rutgers +13.5 vs PSU Sat at 330 on BTN
  • 2-6/4-7 Wisconsin +1.5 at MN Sat at 330 on FS1
  • 1-7/4-7 Maryland +3.5 vs MSU at Ford Sat at 7 on FS1
  • 0-8/3-8 Michigan State -3.5 vs UMD at Ford Sat at 7 on FS1
  • 0-8/2-9 Purdue +28.5 vs #2 IU Fri at 730 on NBC

A few thoughts:
  • Is anyone going to show up at Ford Field to watch two teams that are already eliminated from bowling play their final game of this season against each other?
  • NU and IL should play their rivalry game every year in Chicago.
  • Penn State and Rutgers are the ONLY Bowl-bubble teams and they are playing each other so we can already state that the B1G will have 12 bowl-eligible teams (tOSU, IU, ORE, M, USC, UDub, IA, UNL, IL, NU, MN, and the PSU/RU winner) and six teams not eligible (PSU/RU loser, UCLA, UW, UMD, MSU, PU).

I just think it makes sense.  Both schools are in-state and a substantial majority of the population of Illinois lives in the Chicago area so the students would be more likely there than at school anyway so why not have a Turkey-weekend game in Chicago every year?

I see that side
I'm certain the Champaign–Urbana metropolitan area would strongly disagree

My thoughts:
Indiana is 11-0, Texas Tech is 10-1, Ole Miss is 10-1, and Vanderbilt is 9-2.
