Bowl Thoughts:
-Oklahoma left our list, which means we end up with just 5 teams on our 2 lists. We have four 1-loss teams and undefeated national champion Clemson.
-Looking forward to next season, the biggest impact of the bowl season to me is probably the pushing of Clemson into the next tier of teams. Whether it’s intentional or not, they are going to be given the benefit of the doubt in ways they have not been before and which probably only Alabama currently enjoys to that extent. That will make a loss next year more acceptable and possibly help a team that beats them.
-UCF loosing was the 2nd biggest thing, but their run still did a ton for their brand. They aren’t going to get a lot more help for getting into the playoff bowls next year, but, for at least the moment (and things do change quickly I’ll grant), they are the 2nd biggest brand in the Group of 5 conferences, only behind Boise State in my view and they are gaining ground there quickly.
-Thank you everyone who has read this thread over the season. Happy offseason!
