Cinci in for UL.  Who cares?  lol

One interesting thing about Cincinnati/Fickell/MSU though:  In 24/7 rankings, Cincinnati is the highest-ranked G5 program, one position ahead of the Spartans.

The first one, Bill Walsh football, had a 16 team tournament at the end of the season. I thought it was so awesome, when the second version, Bill Walsh 95, allowed you to play bowls instead of a tournament
there was a sega college football game in 92/93 that allowed you to pick different post seasons, playoffs, bowls, etc. i still have it, but my sega crapped out on me finally. fun little game. you could even sim the season and everything. used to spend hours doing that.

There's been plenty of cool ideas in games that haven't stuck.  The technology to do it isn't the problem.  I'm not sure why it isn't all included still - just because something is included doesn't mean everyone has to use it.
I never played the mascot games, I thought it was lame.  But having it there didn't bother me any.

In Dayton's stadium

Yes, and definitely auto-bids for the FCS Conferences as well.

But only after each Conference replaces their CCG with a Conference Tournament patterned after their Basketball Conference Tournament.

Yes, whatever gets us a 4-loss national champion!

Oh it is way better than that.

Under this method, a team could theoretically lose every single regular season game, then get hot and win their Conference Tourney and then use that as a springboard to become the National Champion.

And since it is a videogame, you could intentionally make it so.

Reminds me of when Florida revamped the districts for high school football.  Some only had 3 or 4 schools, so you had 2-8 teams making the playoffs and 7-3 teams left out.
.
Brilliance.

The problem with the create a team was that you had to wipe another team out of existence. Take their spot, more or less.

I could never bring myself to wipe a Big Ten team off of the face of the earth, so I would do it to Temple, who was in the original Big East at the time. Unless I wanted to be an "Independent" at which point I would wipe out UCF? iirc. Eventually I would be invited to join either the ACC or Big East in place of one of their existing teams, who would then become Independent afterwards.

Couldn't you create your team, kick out someone like UAB, and then put your team into a conference?  It's been so long, I don't remember.

And deprive myself of the pleasure of hanging a triple digit score on them?
