Why is UCLA in the Big Ten?
Because UCLA is in a passing stance....

no good reason

USC wanted a buddy
should have told them, "NO"

If you happen to catch any of the UCLA-,Indiana game yesterday,  you might agree with me that UCLA has the best looking cheerleaders I have ever seen.

UCLA does play in the Rose Bowl Stadium,  so I guess it's a chance for fans of Big Ten teams that never play in the Rose Bowl game,  to at least see your team play a game in the Rose Bowl Stadium.

The Rose Bowl is no longer. It's just another playoff game now.

Sucks.

Why is UCLA in the Big Ten?
So that Indiana and Minnesota could reset the Last Game in Rose Bowl tiebreaker.

I think its better now than it was in the 4 team CFP era.  Then, 2/3 of the time it was two teams who either weren't great, or were pissed that they just missed the playoff.

The MSU-Stanford game in the last year of the BCS may have been the last time it was a Big Ten-Pac 12 game where both teams actually cared

All of this new shit is really starting to affect my interest.

Without a ton of NIL $$ it's going to be impossible for most schools to ever truly compete.

That, and I don't want to play Rutgers, Maryland, USC, Washington, Oregon, or UCLA.

Give me my conference back please.

For what it's worth,  in the CFP 12-team setup,  the Big Ten champion will probably play it's quarterfinal (round of 8) playoff game in the Rose Bowl most years. Especially now that the original PAC-12 fell apart.
