If Texas had beaten Georgia in the SEC championship game the Horns would have been on the other side of the bracket and therefore slotted to the Orange Bowl semifinal.

In 2006 we had to play USC in Pasadena.  That's just the way it goes.

Well in '08
tOSU played LSU in the Superdome
Illinois played USC in the Rose Bowl
Michigan played Gators in Orlando
Penn St played T a&m in San Antonio
I mean WTF not like LA is a great HFA,just the travel and change of weather at least for teams from the upper mid west. Look what USC/UCLA did playing in the BIG now.Travel and weather change can be problematic

No worries about weather inside JerryWorld, he never opens the roof even in beautiful weather.

And the place is such a hulking cavern of sterility and lameness, there's really no homefield advantage to be had.

Your midwestern boys will be fine.

Won't matter how many horns are there.  That vast space swallows up whatever noise the massive stupid TVs don't manage to completely block, or drown out.

Like I said, there's really no homefield advantage to be had.  Just look at the Cowboys' record in that stadium.

Well the horns have something to play for - they can only hope to play like the 'Boys and get paid for it.Where the Buckeyes wouldn't play like the Browns no matter how much they were paid.....probably. At least your Jimmy didn't ask you to pay for the digs like the chiseler jimmy here

Well I did just read that, unlike that stupid stadium in Atlanta, JerryWorld is going to allow Bevo on the sidelines for the Cotton Bowl.

So now y'all are really in trouble.

Well then what do they do when the Cowboys host the Texans?

Back from New Year's camping, and here we are.

There is no way Texas can possibly beat the juggernaut that is The Ohio State University.
Nope, you don't get to use that phrase...

NO WAY OSU can beat Texas!
Texas has bought just as much talent as Ohio State, and given a week being told they are the underdog will properly motivate them to come out swinging and loaded full of gimmick plays to get that advantage. Texas is wearing their Road Unies to reinforce they are the underdog even though they are ranked higher and the game is in their backyard.

My gut feeling is their game will playout kinda like the first OSU Oregon game. Where OSU kinda looks a little better but a key turnover or gimmick play gives the Longhorns the lead. And a late-missed field goal by OSU ends their playoff run.
