I still find it remarkable how teams can have a fantastic regular season and then flame out in any playoff.

Hmmm, in the end, Texas‘ pitching depth didn’t cost it. Interesting.

Baseball is quirky that way.
Our hitting has been similarly suspect all year.  In a lot of ways this team was lucky to make it this far.  But still finishing around #6 is where a lot of folks, including the selection committee, had us.

Good luck to Georgia, and farewell 2025/2026 sports season.

I hadn't paid much attention to college baseball, but my "take" on UGA was that they hit a ton and pitched just OK, which was a bad take, based on the series with MSU mostly.

I watched some of the game, the curve and slider in college seem to be hugely effective.  I guess they can tune up for the 95 heater.  I think MLB starters usually have 3-4-5 pitches they mix in to keep the hitters off the heater.

The organ player at the CWS has amused me.  He has an entertaining selection of song snippets.

I wonder how much a gig like that pays?

This old fart LSU guy behind home plate the whole tournament has an even older LSU fart with him today.  Papa Fart, possibly?

I have also really enjoyed the organ music.

Every time he does the Rick Astley song, I feel like we're all getting rickrolled.
