I love college baseball.  I'll hit the Austin regional for at least one game, if the weather holds out.  Rain is predicted all weekend so we'll see.

Big Ten seemed a dip down from where they had recently been, granted the last couple years was stronger than they have ever(?) been

the Big Ten gets no respect, but that's their fault

the Commish certainly didn't help with no non-con games and no tournament

hopefully, King Barry can talk some sense into him

Yeah I'd say the B1G has been above its expected norm in recent years and this could be seen as somewhat of a regression to the mean, BUT...

This probably has some truth.  It's a weird year anyway, but these choices probably didn't help the B1G with respect to positioning against the other conferences.

No preseason tournaments (particularly considering they were simply playing Big Ten games down south, so its not like they weren't travelling) certainly hurt.

The no midweek games I think is fine.  Those Tuesday games against MAC teams seemed to do more harm than good.  MSU's record in those games cost them a tournament bid one year when they won the Big Ten regular season title, lost to I think Illinois in the tournament, but had several losses to directional Michigan.

perhaps emphasizing sports and competition with other conferences regarding sports
