Close to 100 today and is supposed to be 100 tomorrow, so staying inside and watching old Husker games is the plan for me this weekend; next weekend is the (finally!) internment of my mom's ashes (she passed in Feb).  Will finally get to see both my brothers and it will be the first time since my dad's funeral in 2011 that all four kids will be together.  My youngest son's girlfriend is flying down from Alaska for the weekend to celebrate his 40th birthday which is going to be same day as the internment.  He will be representing all the grandkids, as the rest are all spread out from Kentucky to Texas.  My oldest son will be going to be in South Dakota to be with his dad who is having chemo treatments for stage 4 lung cancer.  

So far this year:
My mom died
Brother in law diagnosed with skin, lung and brain cancer
brother went to alcohol rehab
Ex-husband diagnosed with cancer
Only remaining uncle diagnosed with cancer
Husband had rotator cuff surgery

Oh!  And no Husker football.  2020 sucks the big one, ya'll. I need some mindless entertainment to get away from it all, lol

I get it, but they were a big deal at least partially because they had ringers - some talent came through Huntington that had no business being there.

Moss and Kresser, specifically.

I'm not familiar with how Pennington and Leftwich got there.  I should look it up.

The good news is that not one family members has had Covid-19!  Woo hoo!  Of course with all the other medical issues, we've all spent an inordinate amount of time in self-isolation, lol.

Oh, I definitely will!  Next up is the 2014 Miami-NU game.  What an atmosphere for that one.  Even just watching I could hear how loud the stadium was.  I will be thinking of you when I watch the GOTC, lol.  Holy moley, man woman and child - they don't make announcers like Bremser anymore.

The only time I ever heard him was on YouTube, with his call of THAT game.  He was something, all right.

Texas St may have gotten hosed on that fumble call. Despite what the numbnuts announcers were saying there was a clear and immediate recovery by TSU.  That was at least worth a stoppage to see if the ball popped out before his elbow hit. Of course, the next play SMU hits a TD pass.

Marshall had it rolling in I-AA long before Moss and Kresser got there.  Pennington and Leftwich weren’t transfers or anything. Just kids they recruited and developed.

When I was in college the Mac East had Big Ben, Byron Leftwich, Charlie Frye, Josh Harris and Josh Cribbs. All of those guys went onto be NFL starters; albeit with varying degrees of success. Now you hardly ever see a QB of that caliber fall all the way down to the Mac.

Those blue chrome Memphis Tiger stripes are bringing back memories. I produced those bad boys on a number of occasions. They break them out twice, maybe three times per season, iirc.
