I've snow skied in Arizona as well.  Not in a parking lot behind a pickup though.

Ahhhh, scenic Clarksvegas.

I don't have many pictures of Clarksville from the old days. Just memories. I've been back a few times since then. They've definitely improved campus. It was never an ugly campus but they've really spruced it up a bit.

Johnny's is still the best burger place in the business.

Despite growing quite a bit, Clarksville is still pretty much the same. The traffic on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard still sucks. There's still not a lot to do if you're not into chain restaurants and retailers. They don't even have a decent public golf course anymore.

But I still love Clarksville.

SW TN has the same exact weather as Dallas if that helps frame the climate for you.
Dallas is so far “Up North “ from us that we consider it “Up North “. lol.

Looking on the map, parts of Northern TN are only a few dozen miles from parts of Illinois and Indiana. You can practically see Yankeeville from your backyard in places. LOL.

In all seriousness, I’ve traced several of my ancestors to TN. In fact, there’s a big sausage company out of TN that bears my last name. I need to reconnect with my great great uncle!

After I moved out of my parents house over twenty years ago, my parents moved the rest of the family to Clarksville TN for about 2 or 3 years. One of my brother's graduated high school there.

Visited them a few times while they were there and can't say that I remember too much about it. The 101st Airborne had just returned from an Iraq deployment, so every restaurant was packed; had to wait to get a table on a weeknight at a Rafferty's, a chain I've never since seen again after moving West. And with so many soldiers returned with deployment money, the auto lots were moving cars fast.

I find Eastern Tennessee to be much more scenic than Clarksville or the rest of the state, and Knoxville is about the nicest mid-size city in America.

Undoubtedly. The Great Smoky Mountains aren't a National Park by accident.
