This one should be pretty boring.

Looking ahead: As a Michigan fan, OL interests me. I could see all of Deitzen, Ruiz, Onwenu, and Bredeson on the interior two-deep, taking four of those six spots.

At tackle, Van Lanen is obvious. Munford fits too. Would be happy to see others' predictions. OSU is particularly fascinating here. They're breaking in 4 new starters but maybe each of them is a former top 100 recruit. I hope their experiment goes poorly but if it thrives, it won't be crazy.

Oh dang. I bet I saw it when it happened but didn't keep that memory. That's major.

Maybe Heyward. Who does Rutgers have?

Michigan doesn't have much returning star power either. Their eventual starter has to rank low for now. Probably not the very lowest though. Tru Wilson is smart/crafty and can see holes. Good enough to win the East? Hard to say**, but he's just as lacking in disappointing downs as he is flashy ones. With the right rotation, I could feel good about him as a full-season starter. The TrFr is the wild card (Charbonet) but that's also too unknowable for this conversation.

**(Other years I'd probably say no, though the OL situation at G/C/G could make us overrate a lot of RBs)

Barkley was committed to Rutgers before flipping to PSU.

Taylor was committed to Rutgers before flipping to UW.

Imagine that.

I often wonder how we might compare a RB with a great OL versus and RB with a lousy OL, or a guy on a team that passes a lot.

I think I'd rather have an "average" RB - who in P5 college is going to be really really good - and great OL than the reverse.

Are you imagining Rutgers having a significantly different fate or are you imagine those guys risking their chance at professional careers? I'm mostly imagining the latter.
