I lose interest as a fan in a team that consistently loses, except for the old Braves. I watched them on TBS pretty often. If they lost, it was no big deal. It's about expectations. If you team does better than expected, you feel pretty good, usually. The problem is when expectations are 15-0 (ish). It's my problem, not the team's of course. I'm seeing it on facebook a lot, fans with complaints about the refs and Bobo and whatever else, it's kind of sad really, and a lesson.
After 29 straight, you aren't used to an L. So you tend to make excuses and claim "it wasn't fair". Meh, it happened, life goes on. I'm pretty realistic, usually, and am now. I'm just 'amused' with how an orange bowl is a disappointment. I wonder how many players will opt out.
