Idk how anyone can have any confidence in Harbaugh led offense or Cade McNamara.

I seriously do not understand why JJ McCarthy is still there. I'd transfer in the morning if I were him. Harbaugh is literally a complete retard when it comes to the passing game and picking QB's. He's proven this time and time again. Brandon Jacobs was 1000% right on about Harbaugh. Guy is a complete moron who has no idea about defensive coverages and how to run which route concepts to attack specific defensive coverages. Guy is a complete moron when it comes to passing game. And his eye for QB's sucks.

McNamara is a hell of a back-up QB to have. But he will not win you games or take you anywhere. Michigan is just going to be 3rd place at best in the east like always with a QB like McNamara. They need something else to get them over the hump and bring that offense into the 21st century. If they don't take this bye week to clean stuff up and insert JJ and give him the start vs Northwestern- he should just hit the portal. He really should just hit the portal anyways to be honest with you. He's got insane talent- and he's wasting it tying it to a fkn idiot who has no clue what to do with a talent like that in Harbaugh.
I can’t disagree with any of this. He was completely outcoached tonight. Harbaugh’s MO is definitely having a low risk qb that doesn’t take any chances but also can’t make big plays. How many times were open receives missed deep when they were wide open?

lastly, the 3rd down play on their final drive? Corner fade in the end zone? I can’t think of a less likely throw for McNamara to make. Very frustrating coaching.

If two SEC teams get into the FBS playoffs, which ones?  I don't think Alabama will win-out. They nearly were beaten by Florida. And now they have a loss.
It's too early to tell but I am thinking Cincinnati, and Georgia will likely qualify. Beyond that, Ohio State, Kentucky, Iowa, Penn State, Oregon State, and Michigan are the most likely to qualify. Oklahoma might be in the discussion, but if they lose just once after struggling against Nebraska, Texas,  K-State, West Virginia, and Tulane I don't think they will qualify. I don't expect Oklahoma to win-out. A one-loss Oklahoma doesn't go to the playoff.

few things:

1) Good to hear from you SuperMario!

2) Frustrating is putting it mildly. I think Cade is a massive improvement over the QB's that Harbaugh has tried to trout out there like Wilton Speight & John O'Korn or Joe Milton. But he's not going to take you anywhere. I don't want to make it sound like I hate McNamara. I'm just calling a spade a spade. I called for him to play last year over Milton- but that wasn't because Cade was like amazing or anything- it was just clear as day to ANYBODY with a set of eyeballs and a brain that Joe Milton stinks at playing QB.

3) JJ McCarthy talent wise is just on another level. He's flat out different. The very few throws he's gotten to make- his arm talent JUMPS out at you and flashes all over the damn screen. His release is so compact and quick, he throws the ball so fkn effortlessly and his combination of accuracy/touch/arm strength on his deep ball is flat out elite. Lot of guys have one or the other, almost none have 3. He can pinpoint deep balls to guys in stride that look covered and basically throw them open. Cade just cannot throw the deep ball. His deep ball is TERRIBLE.

IF they stick with McNamara, the Michigan State game will be a toss-up at best. They'll be extremely lucky to beat Penn State on the road- and they'll get clowned at home by Ohio State who will put up points in bunches and McNamara just won't be able to keep up.

Not saying switching to JJ will guarantee them anything- but if he gets in there and hits his stride after a couple games- their chances to beat Michigan State, Penn State, and Ohio State go drastically up imo.

Michigan is elite or close enough to that level almost everywhere except QB and CB imo. Especially if Ronnie Bell was healthy.

They DO NOT have a QB that can take over a game or win them a game- and they have lapses in the secondary with their CB's who can get burnt like a crisp in coverage bc quite frankly- they just aren't that good.

JJ McCarthy HAS got to overtake McNamara someway/somehow if Michigan is going to take a jump as a program.

And as far as the CB's go- Will Johnson walks in and starts day one. So does Domani if he decides to flip. Those two solve Michigan's CB problems instantly. Need them both desperately.

My friend joked that Alabama would still be #1.
Not quite, obviously, as it'll be UGA and Iowa, 1-2.  But are voters going to put the Tide behind Cincinnati?  OU?
I'm not so sure.
