The Huskers are going to end this season strong and it’s going to start this weekend with UCLA.

Here are your reasons why.

#1 HUSKER DEFENSE
Nebraska has limited opponents to less than 400 yards in every game this year.

Last week against a potent USC offense Nebraska limited them to 135 yards, that is the fewest passing yards they have had in 83 games.

UCLA is 13th in conference in total offense and this Husker defense is sure to be able to capitalize on that.

#2 SPECIAL TEAMS
There is no denying that this season the Husker special teams has had a major upgrade compared to the last few years.

Look for special teams to once again make some big plays. Jacory Barney Jr. is looking for his chance to get a punt return or a kickoff return touchdown.

It’s also time for another blocked kick.

#3 QUARTERBACK MYSTERY
While it’s really no mystery who will be playing quarterback for the Huskers, it will be a lot harder for UCLA to be prepared for TJ Lateef. Last week’s game did not showcase Lateef in a way that would be beneficial for a scouting report. While he did see action in two other games this season it’s still a mystery to all as to what the offense will look like with Lateef leading the way for the whole game. It’s also a lot different game plan for a defense when they have to worry about a mobile quarterback.

I’m hoping to see a lot of this action on Saturday night.

#4 PENALTIES
UCLA is last in the conference in penalties and penalty yards. Nebraska will need to use this to their advantage and capitalize on the mistakes of the Bruins.

Once again they’ll need to keep cool heads if the game gets a little chippy, but overall they did pretty well with this last week with USC.

#5 EMMETT JOHNSON
The ever elusive Emmett Johnson is going to key for this game. He has already rushed for more than 1,000 yards this season and UCLA is not going to slow him down.

Johnson’s ability to read the field, make people miss, and collect yards after contact is going to come up big on Saturday.

UCLA is last in the conference in rushing defense and this is a game where we will see Johnson break out a big run or two to put the Huskers up big.

Emmett Johnson will help the Huskers nab win number seven on Saturday.

What was the capacity of Memorial stadium after they added the endzone seats, but before they expanded the rest of it?

Before they did the re do of club seats and upper decks on East side,  it was in the 73,500 seating range from mid 1970s ion, but they'd get crowds of 75,000ish.  they had to redo some SW seats when there was some structural issue in '93, so they redid a big ADA section and took out some.

they made some north end zone work before 2006, that pushed it to 80ish, then the other east end work to mid 85s.

Emmett Johnson
The Emmett Johnson hype train hit a new speed in Los Angeles.

Johnson rushed 28 times for 129 yards and one touchdown, adding three receptions for 103 yards and two scores. He's the first Husker running back in program history to have a 100/100 game.

Johnson's three catches give him 82 in his career, making him the third Husker in school history with more than 80 receptions as a running back. He joins Jeff Kinney (82) and Marlon Lucky (135).

With two touchdown receptions on the night, Johnson ties Ahman Green and Cory Ross for the NU running back record in a single game.

Johnson has blown well past the 1,000-yard mark that he eclipsed a week ago. His 1,131 rushing yards on the year are the most by a Husker since Ameer Abdullah's 1,611 yards in 2014. Johnson is averaging 125.7 yards a game on the ground, putting him on pace to become the fifth Husker to break the 1,500-yard mark in a single season.

The 28 carries against UCLA follow efforts of 27 against Northwestern and 29 against USC. Johnson is the first Husker to have 25 or more carries in three consecutive games since Ahman Green in the final three games of the 1997 season.

Johnson's 14 touchdowns on the season are also the most by a Husker running back since Abdullah's 22 in 2014.
