I wonder if all of these games will be played.

Fresh off its first win of the season, Nebraska will open preparation for its next game — an 11 a.m. matchup against Illinois in Lincoln — as a big favorite.

Oddsmakers released an opening line on Sunday morning, listing the Huskers as 14-point favorites over the Fighting Illini.

Both teams picked up their first wins of the season this past weekend. Nebraska went up early and then held on late to knock off Penn State 30-23, while Illinois kicked a last-second field goal to knock off Rutgers on the road for its first Big Ten win.

No. 9 Indiana at No. 3 Ohio State. The Hoosiers' dream season has a chance to reach new heights.

Indiana at OSU: Battle for the East
Wisconsin at Northwestern, 3:30, ABC: Battle for the West

It is looking like the division races are likely to be decided this weekend barring more cancellations.  

In the East:
If IU wins:

• The Hoosiers would be the only team controlling their own destiny.  
• Ohio State would need two IU losses (not impossible, they still have to play UMD, UW, and PU) but they'd also need to win out.  
• Maryland gets a shot at IU so they could take them out but they'd need somebody to beat tOSU because otherwise they could end up in a tie with tOSU and/or IU.  I'm not sure how that tie would work out.  (Remember for division standing purposes effectively only losses count, 7-1 = 6-1 = 5-1).  
• The other teams in the division already have at least three losses each so they could do no better than a tie with IU.  For all practical purposes, they are eliminated.  

If tOSU wins:

• The Buckeyes would control their own destiny and have a game to give so long as that game wasn't against Maryland (see below).  
• Indiana would need two tOSU losses.  It is possible, of course, that Ohio State could lose to their chief rival in Harbaugh's (likely) swan song, but the Buckeyes' other two opponents are horrible looking IL and MSU teams so that doesn't look good for IU.  
• Maryland would only need one tOSU loss provided that it wasn't to IL and that UMD won out.  In that case the Buckeyes and Terrapins would finish tied at 6-1 with no H2H to break the tie.  That would eventually be broken based on Divisional record where the Terrapins would be better because their loss was to NU from the B1G-W.  
• The other teams in the division already have at least three losses each so they could do no better than a tie with tOSU.  For all practical purposes, they are eliminated.  

In the West:
If Wisconsin wins:

• The Badgers would be sitting pretty at 3-0 but the primary threat to their path to the CG would be another cancellation which would *PROBABLY* make them ineligible.  
• Purdue might only be one game down but they'd need all kinds of help because their loss was to NU.  
• NU would only be one game down but their loss to UW would make that tricky.  
• Iowa's losses to PU and NU make it nearly impossible for them to catch up even if they do beat UW.  
• Nebraska would need all kinds of help.  
• Illinois and Minnesota have three losses each so they could do no better than a tie (in the loss column) with Wisconsin).  

If Northwestern wins:

• The Wildcats would very nearly clinch.  They'd have tiebreaking H2H wins over UW, PU, IA, and UNL.  Thus, they'd have to lose at least two of their last three (MSU, @MN, vIL) for anybody else to have a shot.
