If anyone else happened to see urban’s breakdown of the Indiana versus Ohio State matchup, then you know how highly he thinks of Indiana and that this will be a dogfight this weekend.

Everyone marvels at Indiana skill players, and rightly so, but he showed great video examples of just how good their office of an defense of lines are right now.
My Office line needs whipped back into shape. This covid / working at home pandemic has got them all out of whack. Who even does supply runs anymore?!? ;)

Yep, I'm not banking this one.

No fans allowed this year. Not even moms and dads. Governor said so.

Ohio has kicked out parents as well.

Now the east holds a one-game lead which can end up in a tie if Purdue defeats Indiana next week.

For championship week, I am guessing the Big Ten will match Ohio State against whomsoever Ohio State thinks will best enable them to go to CFB Playoff, since Barry Alvarez has stated today there should be a re-examination of the rules for who plays in the Big Ten Championship Game.
If Iowa loses to Wisconsin, and if Northwestern defeats Illinois, I am going to say Ohio State plays Northwestern.
And if Iowa defeats Wisconsin and Northwestern defeats Illinois, or if Northwestern loses to Illinois, I am guessing Ohio State will get to choose its opponent.

I see almost no chance of Purdue beating Indiana so the B1G-W should head into Champions weekend sitting on a two game lead.

Weird how it has worked out. The West started out on top snd looked like they were going to run away with it but then the B1G-E won a bunch of games they weren't expected to win.

Actually as of today going into the final regular season week, it is tied between the East and West.

At one time the West had a 3 game week but the key week that turned things around was Thanksgiving week when MSU upset NW and Rutgers upset Purdue.  Then this last week when Indy beat Wisconsin,  that tied it all up.

Which means, unless there is some shuffling of games due to COVID, whoever wins the Indy-Purdue game will hold a 1 game lead going into champions week. You would think that Indy would beat Purdue, but its 2020 and you never know.

IF I had to guess what the champions week matches would be,  nothing is certain at this point, but oh well, I will try anyway

1.  NW- OSU
2.  Iowa-Indy
3.  Wisc-MD
4.  Minny-PSU
5.  Neb-Rut
6.  Pur-MSU
7.  ILL-Mich

#2 spot in the West all depends on who wins Iowa/Wisc game this Sat.

#4 to #7 in the West is still up for grabs, where Neb, Minny, Purdue and ILL all could finish anywhere from #4 to #7 depending on what happens the final week.

#4 to #7 in the East is still up for grabs, where PSU, Rut, MSU, and Mich all could finish anywhere from #4 to #7 depending on what happens the final week.

I'm not convinced they will stick to that.  I still think they want the Axe game played, and since MSU-Maryland didn't play, they can avoid a rematch

Ohio State-Northwestern
Indiana-Iowa
Rutgers-Nebraska (Rutgers already played both Illinois and Purdue)
Penn State-Purdue (PSU beat UM, Purdue beat Illinois)
Michigan-Illinois

Michigan State-Maryland
Wisconsin-Minnesota

for the Huskers and myself being selfish

I'd like #1. Michigan, #2 Michigan St., #3 Rutgers

I'll be OK with any of the 3

Here is what I have (somebody correct me if I missed something):
B1G-E:

  • 1-0 tOSU, beat UNL
  • 1-0 IU, beat UW
  • 1-1 UMD, beat MN, lost to NU
  • 1-1 M, beat MN, lost to UW
  • 1-1 MSU, beat NU, lost to IA
  • 1-1 RU, beat PU, lost to IL
  • 0-2 PSU, lost to UNL and IA
  • 6-6 overall
B1G-W:
  • 2-0 IA, beat MSU and PSU
  • 1-0 IL, beat RU
  • 1-1 UW, beat M, lost to IU
  • 1-1 UNL, beat PSU, lost to tOSU
  • 1-1 NU, beat UMD, lost to MSU
  • 0-1 PU, lost to RU
  • 0-2 MN, lost to M and UMD
  • 6-6 overall

This weekend there are two intra-divisional games (UW/MN and MSU/UMD) leaving five inter-divisional games:
  • CG:  tOSU vs NU in Indy
  • UNL at RU
  • PU at IU
  • IL at PSU
  • M at IA

My guess:
B1G-E wins 9-8 overall with wins this weekend in Indy, Bloomington, and Happy Valley and B1G-W wins in Picastaway and Iowa City.  That is REALLY close for the year as a whole.

Same ol' same ol'

The more things change,  the more they remain the same.

But wait this is 2020!  Which probably means NW will upset OSU and the West can finally claim victory!

the league would kick out NW if they played hard enough to win
they are supposed to lose to give OSU the better chance to go to the playoffs
so for the betterment of the conference NW is supposed to lay down and take one for the other teams in the conference
