With 40 points, Iowa is experiencing that moment as a kid when your dad has let go of the bicycle seat and isn't running with you anymore, and you just turned around to discover you're riding it on your own.  That moment of adrenaline, pride, and joy.
For what's it worth,  Iowa has scored 40+ points in a game 7 times in the last 2 years.    Including 5 BigTen games against Washington,  Northwestern, Wisconsin,  Minnesota and Nebraska

That is not a score anyone predicted.  16-9.
I guess chalk it up to being a rivalry? Tech's defense sucks but somehow Georgia's passing game approached Brian Ferentz levels of ineptitude.

Or, they just played a really, really *not great* defense.

Knowing Iowa, it'll soon be replaced by the sheer terror of realizing you don't know how to stop :57:

Hope we get them in a bowl game.  Always good for a 4 TD beatdown.

How far will aTm fall?

Their SEC schedule was laughable:

  • Beat 0-7 Arkansas
  • Beat 1-7 MissSt
  • Beat 1-7 USCe
  • Beat 1-6 Auburn
  • Beat 2-6 Florida
  • Beat 3-4 Mizzou
  • Beat 3-4 LSU
  • Lost to 6-2 Texas

They'll only have a win over a .500 SEC team if Mizzou beats Arkansas or LSU upsets Oklahoma. No matter what happens they will be 7-2 despite not beating any team with a winning record in the league.

Their only quality win is the win over Notre Dame.

Yep.  I guess I shouldn't joke anymore.
