About to go light up the smoker and get the pork butt ready to go on.  I'll be cooking it all day today, but won't serve until tomorrow for my son's 16th birthday family get-together.

But while I have the smoker going today, I'll throw on a couple of beer-butt chickens and maybe some sausage, to snack on for the football games.

Horns at 11, Ags at 11:45.

And then of course tonight, Michigan playing in Norman.  Go Blue!

A little under the weather today. Not sure what we're going to do yet. Probably not the boating thing though.

I took it easy on the golf course yesterday so I'd be in Gameday shape this morning
tough for me to do with an open tab at the Bev Cart and bar

I'd help with the olives, go good in beer and gin!
Prefer UTZ's Old Fashioned Hard Pretzels 🥨 myself. I buy the couple lb plastic barrel with the screw of lid, keeps them fresh for at least two weeks as they've never lasted longer than that around here.Like the old commercial said the most expensive and darn well worth it. Should start knocking some off the salt though

I usually go hot & fast on pork butt... 350-375 and you can start it the morning it'll be served.

Tonight I'm going to fire up the grill for some whole branzino. First time trying to serve it to the kids.

Then shut the vents to try to get the grill off, reload with more charcoal and some hickory chunks, and fire it right back up again to throw a brisket on about midnight for tomorrow.

That sucks

My allergies over the past week have been the worst they've ever been.  It's only been in the low 70s, but I've had to shut the windows and turn the AC back on to get ANY relief.  Have to coach some fall baseball this morning, so it's only getting worse.  And the kids want the fire table out for the MSU game tonight

internet rumors around that Michigan's budding stud TE Marlin Klein may be hurt and missing the game. that is a HUGE blow to Michigan if true. Klein is a devastating run blocker and was developing a nice chemistry with the young true freshman QB.
Per MGO

Article out today saying it's not Kline, it's Morgan. Lower leg injury in practice. Sounds like Yoder, shame on all of us for listening, got the wrong player.

How bad was it?

The cold symptoms weren't so bad, but there was an upset stomach that was rather debilitating.

All better now.
