Wake me up when either of them will come to Madison.

UW has ND on the schedule coming up (not that the article mentioned that, or the fact that UW played Bama lately), but it's a neutral site series in Soldier Field (2021) and Lambeau Field (2020).

Oh well. To hell with the season ticket holders and fans.

Some folks within the Texas athletic department have said that Texas and Alabama are also currently discussing a home-and-home.  I hope it happens, and I hope we've stopped sucking by then.

Yeah, I'm not sure why helmets around the country would voluntarily sign up for 2 curb-stompings.

"The games against Wisconsin will be the “Shamrock Series” game for Notre Dame for both seasons, Notre Dame athletic director Jack Swarbrick stated at the press conference announcing the events."

FYI the "Shamrock Series" is really an off-site home game for ND whereby ND controls ALL of the tickets and NBC has the TV rights. However, the article goes on to say that Wisconsin will be the home team at Lambeau. I suspect that will just be a home team designation and that it will not actually be a home game for Wisconsin. Big12 and SEC TV contracts do not allow this BS in their footprints. I fail to see why any school would agree to this arrangement, but ND finds a sucker for one of these every season.

Wisconsin is in the unfortunate position that if it wants to play helmet schools, the helmets get to dictate. That means either a one-off at the helmet stadium, which isn't going to happen, or it means a neutral-neutral in some stupid NFL stadia.

Lucky for UW, it has been able to lure ND into playing on Wisconsin soil at least. LSU had the stones to do it too.

Yep, and Les Miles left there with one foot in the Fired Coaches Graveyard. Didn't take long for the other foot.

That's why nobody wants to come to Madison. Losing to lowly Wisconsin will get you fired!!

I was thinking about UW's last 4 bowl games. Beat Auburn in Florida, beat USC in San Diego and beat Miami, in Miami.

They also sunk PJ Fluck's old 13-0 Rowboat in Dallas, not that it matters.

That's not a recipe to get helmets to come to Madison and lose.

ND can sign up for all the curb-stompings it wants to, and their fans will still be there and so will NBC.

Think Chicago Cubs (of old).

Notre Dame used to be Iowa's nonconference rival, and then Iowa State reappeared on the schedule after nearly 40-years, and Notre Dame was banned.

I would like to see the Iowa-Notre Dame series reinstate. Unlike Notre Dame - Alabama, Notre Dame would have no excuse for losing to Iowa.

My notion is to mandate that every P5 team play 10 P5 level teams in a season.  Then they can have two pastries.

That would encourage more interesting OOC games even if programs like Duke got right popular.
