Yes,  the real question is can Fickell turn it around in year 1.  The Wisc-Iowa game is mid-season.  Will Wisc be a fine-tuned machine by October?
First one to 13 wins?

Lol I first read this as 13 wins,  not 13 points, and I was like, are you nuts?  Neither team is getting to 13 wins this year.

Once I figured out you meant first to 13 points wins the game,  I was like, yeah that makes a lot more sense.

How will the season play out in the Big Ten? Kaleb Henry makes his predictions for every game.

Purdue is a total mystery this year.  Won the west last year, but has so many questions this year that most prognosticators have them in the 5th or 6th place slot for this year.  It wouldn't surprise me if they went 3-9 or 8-4.  It's probably going to come down to the O-line making holes for Mock to run through.

The O-Line is the biggest question right now.  Had to replace a lot.

Culture will not be a problem though.  Everyone is sleeping on this team and I think they made a great choice at HC.

Purdue will still Purdue and pass the ball all over the place.  Watch out for Hudson Card as well as Mock.

Schedule is absolutely brutal though.

God help me, I'm a little more worried about UW's defense.

I'm more concerned with the development of the offense. Very complex and a complete 180 from what the OL are used to.

I think the defense will shine.

It seems like ILL is the only program that either does not have a new coach or that is dealing some mini-controversy this summer

Neb, Wisc, PUR, NW - New Coach

Minn - Alleged Mistreatment of former players.  Pj Fleck says it's not true

Iowa - gambling investigation.  You got to hand it to Kirk Ferentz,  he has had his share of mini-controversies over the years that normally would get a coach fired, but somehow he always survives. In 2007 it seemed like a lot of Iowa players were getting arrested and a couple players were accused of rape.  In 2011 there was the rhabdo controversy.  In 2021 there was charges of racism when the strength coach got fired.  Now the gambling thing.  Throw in the charges of nepotism over the years,  it's amazing Kirk Ferentz is still around.
