There was a massive amount of movement this week:
- Penn State was up two, passing Wisconsin and Iowa.
- Iowa was down one, passed by Penn State.
- Michigan State was up two, passing Purdue and Wisconsin.
- Northwestern was up two, passing Purdue and Wisconsin.
- Wisconsin was down three, passed by Penn State, Michigan State, and Northwestern.
- Purdue was down two, passed by Michigan State and Northwestern.
- Nebraska was up one, passing Indiana.
- Minnesota was up one, passing Indiana.
- Indiana was down two, passed by Nebraska and Minnesota.
Non-contiguous votes:
- Ohio State is a weird one. They have two votes each for #4 and #5 so their 11 votes for #2 and their vote for #7 are non-contiguous.
- @LittlePig voted PSU #6, nobody else had them lower than #4.
- @TyphonInc and LetsGoPeay voted Wisconsin #4, nobody else had them higher than #6.
- Ty and @SFBadger96 voted Maryland #6, nobody else had them higher than #9.
We all agree that Michigan is #1 and that Rutgers is #14. Other than that, at least half of us agree:
- That Ohio State is #2 (11 of 16)
- That Penn State is #3 (10 of 16)
- That Wisconsin is #8 (8 of 16)
- That Maryland is #9 (12 of 16)
- That Nebraska is #10 (9 of 16)
- That Minnesota is #11 (9 of 16)
- That Indiana is #12 (8 of 16)
- That Illinois is #13 (13 of 16)
There is no consensus at all for #4 - #7.
#12 Indiana is off this week and #6 Northwestern has an OOC game against Notre Dame. The other 12 B1G teams have B1G games this weekend:
- #3 Penn State at #1 Michigan
- #10 Nebraska at #2 Ohio State
- #4 Iowa at #8 Purdue
- #5 Michigan State at #9 Maryland
- #14 Rutgers at #7 Wisconsin
- #11 Minnesota at #13 Illinois
PSU/M seems like a pretty obvious choice for "Game of the Week", but Iowa/Purdue actually has more immediate impact on the race for Indy. Minnesota desperately needs a win this weekend to keep their bowl hopes alive but they haven't won on the road all year so their game at Illinois could be interesting.
PSU/M:
Penn State would be mathematically eliminated with a loss. A Penn State win also helps MSU's chances.
UNL/tOSU:
Interesting game. Nebraska has been trending up and Ohio State looked listless last time out but if the Buckeyes come out the way they did after the Iowa loss last year, this could be bad news for Scott Frost's program.
Iowa/Purdue:
The loser is all but eliminated in the B1G-W race. The winner will still need help.
MSU/UMD:
Maryland hasn't played a competitive B1G game all year (three blowout wins over bad teams, two blowout losses to good teams) maybe this will be the week?
RU/UW:
This should be a great opportunity for Wisconsin to get back on track.
MN/IL:
Probably a bowl elimination game for the Gophers.
