This isn't my ranking, just a reference, ranking of B1G teams based on relative performance against league opponents thus far:

As discussed at length last week with
@Mdot21 , this is based purely on the raw score differential. I do NOT make any adjustments for "garbage time" scores, injuries, etc because I want this to be purely objective.
Also, all B1G teams have played either four or five opponents. In order for this to be comparable, the opponents of the teams that have played four opponents are ranked 1.5, 2.5, 3.5, and 4.5 while the opponents of the teams that have played five opponents are ranked 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.
The rankings:
- 1.375 Ohio State: The Buckeyes are best against all of their opponents. Best of five against UW and best of four against IA, MSU, and RU.
- 1.5 Michigan: The Wolverines are best against all of their opponents that haven't also played tOSU.
- 2.625 Penn State
- 2.7 Purdue
- 2.8 Wisconsin
- 3.0 Iowa
- 3.1 Maryland
- 3.25 Illinois
- 3.4 Indiana
- 3.5 Nebraska
- 3.5 (tie) Michigan State
- 3.625 Rutgers
- 3.75 Northwestern
- 3.875 Minnesota
Wow does that make Minnesota look awful. They are:
- Third of four against IL, better than UW but worse than IU and IA.
- Fourth of four against PSU, worse than M, PU, and NU.
- Worst of five against PU, worse than UW, PSU, UMD, and UNL.
- Second of four against MSU, worse than tOSU but better than UMD and UW.
