1. Wisconsin: Put a straight up whipping on Michigan, and showed their dominance the first two weeks was for real. Very confident and complete team.

2. Ohio State: Finally hitting some meat as they head to Nebraska and see what exactly they are cooking with.

3. Iowa: Fairly competent, which goes pretty far.

4. Michigan State: Good win against Northwestern. Going to be a tough out for everyone.

5. Penn State: Still not sure they can score

6. Michigan: Haven't shown any life on offense, and the defense may not be able to bail them out.

7. Maryland: I guess, even though Temple lost.

8. Nebraska: Rare that a team has nearly 700 yards, gives up fewer than 300 yards, and is in a barnburner.

9. Minnesota: Here they are.

10. Purdue: Trying to get healthy

11. Indians: Won a game

12. Northwestern: Not their year

13. Illinois: Nice effort

14: Rutgers: Rutgers

1 Ohio State - Rocky Start erased by a 40+ point second quarter.
2 Wisconsin - Took their foot off the gas/throat down the stretch.
3 Penn State - You can win a lot of games with that D.
4 Iowa - Gonna park 'em here for now. PSU and M await after this week's final tune up.
.
5 Michigan State - three strong showings, and a close loss at home.
6 Michigan - I won't torch them for the Wisconsin loss. They have a week to get things figured out before Iowa.
7 Maryland - The Temple loss looks a lot worse, but they can still hang their shell on those first two outings for now. They have Penn St this week.
.
8 Minnesota - They haven't played anyone, but are undefeated. So they get to sit atop the scrap heap for the time being.
9 Nebraska - Becoming the B1G West version of Michigan, where they are the top team in the division up until the season starts.
10 Northwestern - Still not ready to write these guys off entirely.
.
11 Indiana - At 3-1 these guys could still make some noise. Next five games are MSU, Rutgers, Maryland, Nebraska and Northwestern. They could maybe put together a little bit of a run there. Or not.
12 Illinois - Both losses were close.
13 Purdue - One of the losses was close, and the other wasn't.
14 Rutgers - I'll move them up a spot or three if they can catch the Wolverines napping this week.

I will weigh-in.

1. Wisconsin (2) (2) (4) (8) - My 1st impression midway through the 1st qtr. of Miami-OSU was this was obvious. I am going with my first impression. Wisconsin has every tool in the box. And, it has been tested. A play-off contender.
2. Ohio State (1) (1) (1) (2) - Slow start; then dominated Miami.
3. Penn State (4) (4) (3) (7) - Had a nice weekend..
4. Iowa (5) (6) (6) (9) -  Had a nice weekend.
5. Michigan (3) (2) (1) - Seems like they should be pushed down lower but there is no one else to elevate, and they faced the best the Big Ten has to offer.
6. Michigan State (6) (5) (5) (5) - Middle of the class.
7. Maryland (8) (7) (9) (12) - A restive weekend.
8. Nebraska (10) (10) (11) (3) - Lots of offense. Lots of ball insecurity.
9. Illinois (9) (8) (8) (13) - Illinois is much improved from the past several years. Inconsistent passing game.
10. Northwestern (7) (9) (7) (4) - Another loss. Not your older brother's Northwestern.
11. Minnesota (11) (11) (12) (6) - A restive weekend..
12. Indiana (12) (12) (13) (10) - An entertaining win over a weak opponent.
13. Purdue (13) (13) (14) (11) - A restive weekend.
14. Rutgers (14) (14) (10) (14) - I thought they were going to win the way they played in the 1st half. But, its Rutgers. Not entirely inept, just mostly.

1) Ohio State: until someone knocks it off.
2) Wisconsin: ignoring modesty for a moment: this team looks good.
3) Penn State: idle
4) Iowa: idle
5) Michigan State: defense, defense, defense.
6) Michigan: unflattering long-term arrows; still has the athletes to beat everyone below here.
7) Northwestern? But not because it is any good.
8) Maryland: idle
9) Minnesota: idle
10) Nebraska: Wins are good?
11) Purdue: idle
12) Indiana: UConn
13) Illinois: competitive? Still a loser.
14) Rutgers: BC isn’t good, but it’s no Rutgers.
