2018 Big Ten Elimination Pool - Week 3
« on: September 11, 2018, 10:02:40 AM »
Everyone knows the rules by now right?

  • You pick one Big Ten team to win each week, straight up.
  • You cannot pick a team playing an FCS opponent (although that might not be an issue this year?)
  • You cannot pick a team twice over the course of the season
  • If you get wrong wrong, you are out.
  • If you miss a pick, you are out.
  • If everyone is eliminated in the same week, you stay in, but you DO NOT get that pick back.  However if someone is eliminated in that week by failing to make a pick, they do not rejoin.
  • There are 14 teams, and 13 weeks, so if needed, the Big Ten CCG will be Week 14.
  • Picks must be posted prior to kick time listed.

Any questions, let me know.

  • Week 1 - 27 entrants, 0 eliminations
  • Week 2 - 27 entrants, 19 eliminations (17-Purdue, 2-no pick)
  • Week 3 - 8 entrants

At this point everyone but one remaining has laready picked Minnesota, so it's probably a wash.  I'm more concerned for the people who didn't take Illinois.

First, good luck to the eight of you remaining.  I was one of the mass of people who got eliminated on Purdue's loss last week.
To @ELA 's point my assumption would be that the people who haven't picked Illinois yet are just hoping to ride that one out on the hope that everyone else will lose before they get forced to pick Illinois.  Either that or they could take Illinois at Rutgers on 10/6 or at home vs Purdue on 10/13.

I'm changing my pick to Indiana.   I failed to realize Rutgers plays Buffalo next week.    I'd rather not bet on Indiana beating Rutgers later this season..
