Lexi was likely over coveted by those that pay way too much attention to recruiting, I long ago stopped following any fball/bball/vball recruiting that closely .  I'll take cliffs notes. I'm kind of creeped out by it all now.

I think UT fans thought she was Logan Tom or something.  Probably read her own press clippings too.  I hope Cook and staff do a great job working with her.  Cook certainly has a great development track record .  Heck, Foecke showed up as a Middle, now she s one helluva 6 rotation player.

Nebraska volleyball coach John Cook and the defending national champions got great news on Tuesday as Texas volleyball transfer Lexi Sun announced her intentions to transfer to Nebraska.

Sun, who was the No. 1 recruit in her class, will be eligible immediately. According to Cook, head football coach Scott Frost played a role in helping to land Sun.

Cook explained in a statement.

“I’ve always had this funny feeling that at some point we might have another chance to recruit her to Nebraska, and when she came on a visit three weeks ago it was unbelievable. She got to meet Dr. Kathy Farrell, the dean of the business college, because Lexi wants to major in business. Then she met with our performance team and they did a great job.

“Then Scott Frost and Matt Davison showed up while we were at dinner with Lexi and her family and some of the Huskers, which was really cool. It fired up Lexi’s family and all the Huskers. Scott’s pumped she’s coming here. We’re all pumped she’s coming here.”

Cook has had talented teams in the past that fell apart due to internal chemistry issues....  and by falling apart, that means sweet 16 type seasons for final 4 talent.   The last few transfers really have worked for the coach so I'm hoping this was a situation where the player was not a good fit for Texas

some squads can handle one high maintenance diva

it's a probelm when you have 2 or 3 high maintenance divas vying for power and attention

Nice. The transfer taints her career just enough to allow Buckeye legend Nikki Cisco (11) to maintain the distinction of having the best College VB career of any player from my hometown.
The Cisco Kid was in my class, thus suited up for my school's VB team from seventh grade until my Senior year of College.

Three former Nebraska volleyball players will be part of the U.S. Women's National Team that will compete in the inaugural FIVB Volleyball Nations League next week at the Bob Devaney Sports Center. Two-time Olympic medalist Jordan Larson, as well as Kelsey Robinson and Justine Wong-Orantes are part of the 14-player roster. Larson will serve as captain for the Americans.

Team USA, ranked second in the world, will host No. 22 Poland on Tuesday, May 15, followed by No. 12 Turkey on May 16 and No. 7 Italy on May 17. All three USA matches are scheduled for 7 p.m. (CT) after the conclusion of the non-USA match at 5 p.m.

Match tickets for the FIVB Nations League are available through Huskers.com/usavolleyball. All session ticket prices are $36, $66 and $96. Single session tickets range from $15-$35 depending on the section. The clear-bag policy will be in effect.
