It's tough. If I lived closer to Purdue, I certainly wouldn't consider it within my risk-reward matrix to go to a game in person in a semi-crowded stadium. (And yes, 15K in a 60K stadium is still semi-crowded relative to sitting on my couch).

If Purdue was playing, and had a game at USC or UCLA, and it was nearly my only chance to see them live in person for the next decade or so... I might have to consider it.

Thank you for your reasonable post.  I forgot what that looks like.

I won't be.  I doubt I could get tickets to a UGA game, if they play.  Any notion of going to a game in some neat location is obviously out.

Ditto for me and OU games.
I could probably get tickets to a University of Tulsa game, but the mediocre (or worse, lately) on-field performance isn't worth enduring the hour before kickoff wherein the loudspeakers blare rap music at the pain threshold.

I don't see any reason to attend any event that has a large crowd

I'd also suggest that stadiums not allow anyone over 60 years of age or anyone else at risk

I am going to be in the Columbus area towards the end of October, I had every intention of going to the OSU-Michigan game. I am going to be officiating football games in a few weeks with no hesitation. I am an Umpire, so I will be handling a sweaty football, I will be in the midst of a whole bunch of kids, etc.

Sorry, but I don't have any underlying conditions, so I am not in the least bit worried about catching Covid, the flu or any other virus that may be out there which wouldn't be pleasant to have, but certainly not worth changing my whole life over.

I know for Ohio HS football, refs are not allowed to touch the ball as a Covid-19 measure this year.  I wonder if that will be the same case for you or if that is just local to this area.

I’d like to see how that realistically works out.

Not allowing anyone in over 60? Could we allow the 60 year olds to make that decision for themselves?
