I hated how Joel Klatt (who still always sucks at his job) kept saying Purdue had nothing to lose, when they'd call a play.  No.  Purdue was playing for a Rose Bowl vs. the who gives a F*** Bowl.

If anything Michigan had nothing to lose.  As TCU proved, Michigan would have still been #2, win or lose.  It's a stupid cliché that announcers who are bad at their job overuse
agree 100% on this entire post lol. I've said it as well that I'm not really a fan of Klatt. Others here seem to really like him. I guess he's the best of a bunch of bad guys going right now. Maybe I just miss the GOAT Keith Jackson (RIP) and am holding everyone else to an unrealistic gold standard lol.

Keith Jackson will never be matched.

As a UM fan growing up, he called all the ups and downs of my childhood.

"Goodbye, hello Heisman!"

"He's got three people down there, the ball is up in the air, touchdown!  Caught by Westbrook for a touchdown!"

"Woodsons got one block, another block, one more and he's gone...touchdown, no flags!"

Honestly all the excitement for this game is now gone given the coaching situation.  Purdue fans usually travel pretty good for these, but the general sentiment Im getting now is the Boilers won't be ready to compete.

Jeff Brohm is off to Louisville.  Word is the entire offensive staff is following him.

His brother, Brian Brohm (OC/QB), was nice enough to volunteer to stay back a few weeks, and has been named interim coach for the Citrus Bowl.

QB Aidan O'Connell and WR Charlie Jones are toss ups at the moment.  Both are looking at playing at the next level, so I wouldnt be surprised if they opted out.  If that happens, Purdue doesn't stand a chance.

And of course we are still waiting to see the fallout from the current roster after the coaching change.

Yeah, it was a pretty tough draw for them to begin with, and now they have to play LSU in a bowl game with no HC? Brutal.

Competition in the ACC and for recruits around L'ville is a lot easier than trying to win with UW,UNL getting new staffs and having the facilities and the means along with Iowa/Goophs.And Mdot is right it'll just get tougher if/when the LA schools come in.The Boilers would get shoved into the east Brohm left at the height of his success there and prolly would have declined looking forward

I was looking at BK's record vs Purdue, because I recall Purdue losing to Cincy and Central Michigan a time or three, and amazingly he didn't face Purdue at either school.

He was 6-0 vs Purdue at ND, but 2 of those wins were vacated by ND in 2012 and 13. Anyone know why? I don't remember them being on probation or anything. The wind thing?

Not sure but that makes sense why but no sense to actually remove wins

They went undefeated in 2012, and played in the NCG. Did they vacate any other wins? Weird.

Hard to imagine them getting any worse off than A&M was this year, and that did not work out well for us.

The worse things get for Purdue, the less I like this matchup.

They used academically ineligible players, so they vacated all of their 2012 and 2013 wins.  Which actually makes 2013 MSU undefeated

Man, that was a REALLY bad loss.  The ags were just pitiful this year.  They struggled against UMass.  Oof.
