I think any QB in college without a major NIL deal and who is eligible for the draft would consider leaving, even if he's a 5-6-7 rounder.  Another factor is what next year's class looks to be.  There is risk with staying in college obviously (and maybe you move up a couple rounds if you do).

For a QB who is 6'2" plus with a strong arm, I think teams would give them a shot even if they don't look great in college.

Purdue QB Aidan O'Connell will opt out of Citrus Bowl and prepare for NFL draft.

With AOC out, you can expect TE Payne Durham and WR Charlie Jones to opt out as well.

That should just about do it for the Purdue offense and defense.  I really don't think this will be competitive at all after about 1.5 quarters.

I still think you should go.

How many LSU players are sitting out?

Bowl games are becoming a laughingstock now. It's a damn shame too.

yup, I'll be in the Fort Worth area over Xmas and through the 30th

if the Huskers were playing in the First Responders bowl
Gerald J. Ford Stadium in Dallas

I'd make my brother drive us to the game

it's gotta be over an hour and he just hates Dallas traffic

I'd treat it like a early spring practice game

Only one for sure that I know of so, but there are likely to be more.  I think no matter what Daniels does, he'll play the bowl if his ankle is better.

And that will become more evident in two years.  That's why I view it as a kind of vacation for the players, a chance to try out your lineup next year, and some practice.  As a HC, I basically would play my projected starters next year and treat it almost as a spring game, and exhibition.  If my seniors really wanted to play some, I'd certainly reward them.  And sure, I'd try to win within those parameters.

Calling BS.  If that was true, you'd work for ESPN

I'm pretty sure I could easily work for ESPN and make a go of it.

Has Barry tried to strong arm himself into coaching Wisconsin's bowl game?
