4th and 1, you are running an option out of a shotgun.  That tells you all you need to know about their faith in the OL.

There are people against farming subsidies, and that's about the only way to make American farming profitable

The targeting and 15-yard penalties and babying the QBs is not working.

Football is an impact sport.  A collision sport.  Collisions aren't good for the human body.  Football players know this, and still choose to play football.

Either allow football to be football or if you choose to bastardize it, call it something else.

That is a terrible spot.  That's about as obvious as it gets, but I've stopped trusting replay to even gets replay right.  Even both announcers and the rule expert agree...which seems to mean nothing.

I'll stop before revealing the delicious hypocrisy involved in that debate, and turning it down a political thing.  But it's stark.

That's where I'm at.  We can do what we can do, but most of this stuff is window dressing.  I feel bad for the generations of guys where we just didn't know.  But we all know now.

Of course it's hypocritical.  It all is.

But we drew nonsensical party lines where sides have to simulataneously argue for both large and small government whenever it fits their given agenda.

Wow, overturned.  Got it right.  Never heard a ref admit they got it so wrong that "after review the ball was 2 yards short," but it was.

It's done nothing to change how guys play.  Feels like nothing more than a "we tried" defense against future lawsuits
It's 98% about lawsuits, but I also think that the game has begun to change on tackles that are higher up. Especially when it comes to ball hawking safeties flying in on receceivers downfield at the catch. Torpedoing used to be more common. Now there's more ball play and shoulder leading.
Well. Let me step back. That's hard to prove. But it's my strong sense.
The main failure is on these tackles where both players' heads are closer to the ground that a standing waist.
